Layman H. Skinner Sr. standing in front of house (left) and in back of house (right), the pictures are around 1938-40.  The house is located in Edinburg Texas at 501 West Van Week street.  He purchased it in 1937-38.  The house had 3 bedrooms, a bath, living room, dining room, breakfast room and a small room off the breakfast area used as a wash room.  It's on the north west corner of Van Week street and only a couple of blocks north of the old High School.  Layman and Colera and children Lasche, Laydean and Layman Jr. lived here until they bought another house South of Edinburg in 1943 on old Highway 281, later they rerouted 281 and named this road Tourist Drive.
